I, for one, an happy to let the DCEU die. Burn it down and start fresh. Don't know if James Gunn's DC universe will be better, but... it would be hard pressed to be worse. At minimum it will rid itself of a lot of baggage.

I don't disagree, but there has been some decent stuff. In particular, I just started Doom Patrol for the first time and I'm really enjoying it

Doom Patrol is pretty cool. I never finished it, but I appreciate that they embrace the weirdness. But it is separate from the DCEU. They are not connected at all. Thats why Cyborg in Doom Patrol is nothing like the Cyborg in the Justice League. Doom Patrol was spun off from the Titans tv show.

Ah, got it. I never even saw most of the DC movies or shows post Nolan-era Batman, so I was unaware of the distinction.
