Welcome to a Star Trek community where you’re free to chat and share your opinions about all things Trek!

I want to have a place where fans can come to praise, discuss, and even criticise things in the Star Trek franchise. No show or movie is perfect, and I don't believe people should be silenced for having a dissenting opinion. That being said, there are still a few rules.

Be Nice - No personal attacks. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but it needs to stop there.

No Slurs - This is applicable to ethnicity, religion, gender, or anything else.

No Adult Content - Keep it family friendly.

No Spamming or Trolling - Consistently spamming comments or trolling is just not needed.

Please keep topics Trek related or Trek adjacent for the most part, and have fun!

Just finished my dozen-th or so rewatch of DS9 (man I was a dumb kid not to have appreciated it when it was live)

Starting on Voyager again, i think I'm up to season 3, but i just let the jellyfin keep playing.

It's really great! From what I hear you weren't the only person to not be a fan when it came out! I've met various Trek fans who always avoided it until recently, and now it's one of their favorites.

I honestly never realized Voyager and Enterprise were this popular until I started following Lemmy more!

I use Jellyfin as well, it's so much nicer than going to the shelf to grab the cases to stick the disk in. Having it keep track for where I am in the series is also a plus.

Growing up, i never knew if the vcr recorded properly, if my dad recorded over it, so the semi serialized aspect didn't appeal to me. Watching straight through, with the last episode still fresh, does better service to ds9 than a weekly release ever did.

And it's great not to have to track anything. I get home, hit "next up..." and veg-out to Voyager.

Yeah, some of the episodes do work a lot better when they're watched back to back.
