I mean, without that lap deletion in qualifying he certainly would’ve been in a great place for maiden victory but.. what ifs and coulda shoulda woulda and all that. There’s no guarantee he would’ve done better against max than lando but I see where he thinks he could’ve.

Alternatively (and what happened recently) Oscar gets the better start. Maybe he fights with Max and ends up in the shunt, and Lando cruises to an easy second win. The what if machine overloads in scenarios like this.

Short VSC was more costly than that, he cleared Sainz pretty quick. If the VSC had just bunched up the front a bit, he could've easily challanged Russell for the win
