Please see the second sentence in the post above. The second sentence which also contains the word 'people' in it.
That might give you a clue.
You have painted yourself into a corner, stop trying to weasel out of it. None of this is that hard.
I have not painted myself into a corner just because the person I was replying to doesn't understand that 'people' in this context means 'people who complain about memes' despite my saying that.
