Unfortunately a significant proportion of the population idolizes these parasites because they think they too could be billionaires if they just lick those boots hard enough.

There's nothing wrong with conserving. There's everything wrong with whatever the fuck people who call themselves conservatives today are.
You're describing conservationists, not conservatives.
No, I mean there's nothing wrong with conserving non-harmful tradition, ideals, etc.. It becomes an issue when that conservation hinders progress, or hurts people, the environment, or animals.
