It was reported as a fun relatable story because that is what is was. If he was completely addicted to the dreamcast demon machine would he have been able to be a soldier? A teacher? A governor? Exactly, we all get a little too into something from time to time. The fact that his was video games from the 90s is both charming and a reminder that he’s not 80. Also it’s the sort of marital conflict that you see in healthy and happy marriages as opposed to the kind you expect to see in politicians’ marriages
