That's why i deleted Reddit account twice and I moved to Lemmy, I don't want forcing you to use shitty Reddit app to view Unreviewed content subreddits (lemmy.world)

If you absolutely have to read something from reddit and it throws this, just switch to the desktop site instead of mobile.

Those who use old reddit to get around it wouldn't likely get the app anyway, so why even try blocking it?

Hard disagree.

The same reason new Reddit exists. The same reason they blocked third party apps from using their API; To increase engagement and serve you more ads more effectively.
