Throughout the South and the Black Belt specifically, the system has abandoned and completely disintegrated the infrastructure and basic resources, while the prison and policing system continues to expand.

Poor and working class people across the South, in particular Black America, have been abandoned by the corporate-backed, two-party system. It’s time that the people of Louisiana have an option — a socialist option — that truly speaks to their needs!

Help us continue to build the socialist movement across the Black Belt and secure ballot access across the country. ⬇️

What would you do if your neighbor was starving? This is not a hypothetical. Right now the U.S. government is deliberately starving the Cuban people 90 miles to our South. We all must act now! This cannot stand. All people of conscience in the United States have to speak up and take action to let Cuba live. We’ve all been outraged to see the urgent aid for Rafah blocked at the border, while famine stalks the Palestinian people. We can’t allow the same thing to happen directly to our south. You're right, democracy does thrive on diversity of thought. You're wrong on your responsibility though. We face a threat unseen in our country before and we as citizens are responsible for making sure this is not our last presidential election. I'd love third party candidates who better fit my beliefs, but the reality is that we live in a 2 party system. The system is rigged. Until we have ranked choice voting country-wide, there will not be a 3rd party president.

Do not split the vote. If Trump wins, you may no longer have a chance to voice your opinions on how our country is ran. This is not fearmongering, this is fact.

No, I'm not.

I refuse to fall for that. I'll stick with voting for my candidate. Thanks.

Do not split the vote. I

If the democrats are scared of losing votes, then they can focus on getting a stronger candidate.

It is NOT a fact, it's your opinion. And one that almost have of the country doesn't agree with. You don't have to agree with who I vote for, but respect my right to vote for who I want to, as I respect yours.

I 100 percent support you voting for who you want to vote for. And you can respect me the same.

Edit: I was ready to have an honest discussion/debate about the flaws of our current electoral process and the repercussions of our current candidates, but holy fuck that's not happening now after looking through your posts and comments. What's wrong with you? You think being transracial is an actual thing? That we can change our race on a whim? Buddy, there's something going on in your head, and you should seek expert advice from a therapist. For your own health and safety at least. To use a buzz word that's been a pretty big hit lately, you're being "weird". And not in any way is it a good quirky weird. It's a bad weird.

Leaving my response below for anyone who may read it in the future, but I will no longer be responding or interacting with this thread or any other you create. Ban me from the community if you so wish, as is your right to do in your community.

One of the duties of voting is to make sure you are educated on the facts of current policies and issues. This includes reading materials set out by current candidates (Project 2025), listening to those who are running (Trump telling his followers that they won't have to vote in the future), and talking with our fellow Americans about what we believe the correct course for the country is (what we are doing here).

The facts have been laid out by the different parties. My preference on the best juice to drink is an opinion. What will happen if Trump takes office again is fact.

We lost several districts in Washington state to republican and GOP candidates in our recent Primary election. In a number of those districts, more people voted for the Democrat and 3rd Party candidates than for the Republican/GOP candidates, but because we don't have ranked choice voting none of them won. To many "strong candidates" weakened those districts, and now they will face the hardships of no good candidate winning.

Do not tell me splitting the vote isn't real. It is as real as the sun or gravity.

If the democrats are scared of losing votes, then they can focus on getting a stronger candidate.

This only works in a system with set parties, such as our 2 party system, which as you stated you do not believe in. Either way, a stronger candidate has been put forth.

I fully respect that we get to choose who to vote for. But we must also be willing to face the consequences if our respective candidates do not win.

If your candidate loses, and Trump is back in the White House due to a split vote taking voters away from the current best shot away from fascism, are you prepared to take responsibility for not working within the confines of our country's horribly messed up system?

Thank you. I'll be voting for the candidate I want to, and you have not changed my mind. I also respect and support your right to vote for whoever you want.

Me voting for my candidate of choice doesn't claim "responsbilibity" for anything. I vote for who I like. This election, it's Jill Stein. And I hope you vote for who you like best. Thanks.

You think being transracial is an actual thing? That we can change our race on a whim?

Now replace the words "race" with "sex." Sound familiar? Do you think that is ok to say?

You are telling me that I need to seek therapy. Would think it's ok to say the same thing to a transgender person? Implying that they are sick and need help?

Also, not sure what my past posts have to do with current post. Please keep your comments on topic and remain civil. Thank you!
