Found on reddit. I'm told the reason for their visit is to intimidate the Haitian immigrant community there.

I wonder why they hide their faces.... Chick ass bitches.

First thing I noticed. Cowards.

They hide their faces because antifascists put in the effort to let the community know who they are. Many a fascist has lost a six-figure job or been kicked out of home, so they're scared alright.

There was a great piece done by Frontline PBS, where the journalist went around getting as much footage, from as many perspectives as possible, of the unite the right protest, to create a timeline of the violence. He established that it was, in fact, the nazis that initiated violent behavior. On top of this he began identifying nazis who were on camera committing violence. One dude was working on his graduate degree in aerospace engineering, and was working for Boeing. He lost his job, his schooling, and got black listed from the aerospace industry. Another was in the military. This guy was discharged dishonorably. That is a huge blow to any future prospects to have that on your record. These guys begged this journalist not to turn them into their peers, especially their professional ones. They cried on the phone with him when they realized he hunted them down, and had video of them beating people, with nazi symbolism on, with a group of nazis, in a nazi rally. The panic in their voice was so good.

I think it was called Exposing the right, Frontline pbs... but I am not sure. If I can find it I will post the name, or a link.

Nice resource, thanks for finding it for us!

There was a similar investigation in... I want to say Australia and their current major neo-Nazi org. An undercover infiltrator was able to film an older member admitting to being a higher-up manager in a casino earning six-figures and discriminating against employees based on race. Afterwards they got fired. You can also find various antifascist blogs where they publish dox of neo-Nazis and often you see them getting fired as a result.

Remember: this causes real, material damage to their operations. Some try to buy rural property to use for training or buy places to use as 'active clubs', some will use hire cars/trucks and some will want to fund core members to be full-time activists, so taking away their income makes this all harder.

damn, it was supposed to be chicken, oh well, it fits so I'll leave it.

Edit: It's a line from the show Resident Alien. If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching, it's funny.

[–] Cadeillac@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This is actually just the recommendation I needed. I've seen it on Peacock and couldn't decide if I wanted to watch it or not

[–] InternetUser2012@lemmy.today 2 points 2 months ago

It's great. You'll laugh.

[–] zewm@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It’s probably a reference to “chicken” which is oft used as a synonym for cowardice.

[–] Cadeillac@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

It is me, I am the idiot. Over here chick usually refers to a girl, so I was worried it was misogynistic

The only thing they are afraid of is people knowing who they are and what they belive
