Fediverse vs Disinformation

Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.

What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.

By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Donald Trump stated on August 8, 2024 in a press conference: “I went down in a helicopter with (Willie Brown). We thought maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together and there was an emergency landing.”

Did he claim to survive a helicopter crash? Because AFAIK, when a helicopter crashes, you generally either land in a coffin (more often) or a wheelchair (less often).

It depends what went wrong, like for a simple engine failure, I've heard you have a little bit of time to get onto the ground before the rotors stop providing enough lift. But in this case, I doubt the helicopter even existed.

It really does but if you tell people you "Went down in a helicopter" they're not thinking you made a safe landing. Now if he had the humility to say "I had a helicopter malfunction on me" or something like that it could be understandable. But we're talking the most fragile narcissist imaginable, he's got to be remarkable in everything.
