#"Screen Unseen" is an ODEON Cinema exclusive preview event of films that haven't yet been released in the UK.

You book in advance and pay £5 for a ticket in standard or premier (first come, first serve so book quick!), but can't be certain what film you're about to see until the curtains go up.

Showings are random and can't be said when the next one is and only open to people over 15 (although the films being shown may be any BBFC rating from U to 15). After a showing is announced, ODEON release a series of clues leading up to the night of release. These clues are often cryptic, contrived, or otherwise misleading.

ODEON claim that the films they select for Screen Unseen are "all guaranteed to inspire conversation".

In the event that you know what the next Screen Unseen is going to be (aren't you lucky), please refrain from commenting the title of the movie so that others don't get spoiled. If we wish to comment, simply post the trailer from YouTube or something similar.

So, go converse!

Hi everyone. I'll make this brief, as there're not enough people here yet that I don't feel like I'm just shouting into the aether. I hope that over time we can build this into a great alternative to the Reddit sub. I'll be taking on moderators once there's a few more folks here, so message me if you're interested in coming on board.

Now available to book at the Odeon, so should be on in a range of multiplexes.

The live intro and live Q&A are only at the Leicester Square Odeon.

General screenings Friday 27th - Sunday 29th September, with an iSense one on Wednesday 2nd October (the one I'm going to).

  • Cobweb - Limitless screening September 1st
  • The Nun 2 - September 8th

Joy Ride had a Limitless screening and was a Screen Unseen, so it's not impossible they'd do both but less likely.

Screenings:

  • 16th August - Worcester
  • 17th August - Birmingham New Street
  • 21st August - Manchester Great Northern
  • 22nd August - Liverpool One
  • 24th August - Belfast
  • 28th August - Glasgow Quay
  • 29th August - Edinburgh Lothian Road
  • 30th August - Metrocentre
  • 31st August - Mansfield
  • 4th September - Norwich
  • 5th September - Bournemouth BH2
  • 6th September - Wimbledon

A rather different beast to the DMP Presents double bills that I've been to before and not just because the screenings seem like more of a tour than all done in one or two nights but also because they are two really good films (taste being subjective and all, but still...). I'd be recommending this one just on those grounds and the fact that DMP always bring their A game with the extras but I also had the opportunity to see the first Hellraiser in the cinema last year and it made for a very intense experience.

So if you go to only one of these, I'd recommend you go to this one.

A classic line-up for the DMP Presents package - early eighties exploitation films, a slasher and Italian cannibal movie, respectively. They're not the greatest of movies but DMP make it a real experience with relevant trailers and a proper interlude.

Screenings:

10th July:

  • Belfast
  • Birmingham New Street
  • Bournemouth BH2
  • Braehead
  • Edinburgh Lothian Road
  • Greenwich
  • Kingston
  • Mansfield

11th July:

  • Cardiff
  • Glasgow Quay
  • Liverpool One
  • Manchester Great Northern
  • Metrocentre
  • Milton Keynes Stadium
  • Norwich
  • Wimbledon
  • Worcester
