Posted in the Nintendo channel with zero context. Seems like a first party game? Kinda wild.

Memory unlocked. I remember playing these when I was younger. Man, it's been like 15 years now...

(It didn't sell well)

We're all well aware of Steam's summer sales, but don't forget that indie storefront itch.io also has a lot of games on sale this week. I've linked to my post in !freegames@feddit.uk which covers 22 games that are currently completely free, but you can browse their games on sale page directly for a huge number of indies (of varying quality!)

Also free to keep on Steam here.

I have not personally played it yet, though I have seen it before. Seems above-average, if far from perfect. Anyone know more about it?

So yeah, EA is going full apeshit on Apex Legends monetization, doubling the number of battle passes and removing the ability to buy them ingame. Great. 😑 Good thing I left that game what feels like forever ago.

"Incorrect response. Please refresh the page."

I have attempted 10 captchas in a row, but to no avail. Each time, the response is marked as incorrect. The login issue is only part of the problem. When I try to redeem a freebie on my account, I encounter the same captcha issue. This persists regardless of whether I am using a VPN or not. It's becoming extremely frustrating.

If there's one thing that rustles my jimmies is that new games will sometimes put on an always online experience even when it is single player.

Why the hell do firms do this? What, to make you purchase a copy of the sequel of that game? They surely realise that putting a single player game or any game in general on life support through live services is stupid and makes their public optics look like shit to the consumer.

I bought your game, do not expect me to pay up extra or care about your baked in battle pass crap nor the sale your putting out for that gold skin costume.

The moment Bethesda were selling HORSE ARMOR in a single player RPG (Oblivion) it was all over from the start..

TLDR - Modern AAA sucks ass with only a few gems between.

This really does not sound healthy. The game is released, for a certain amount of money. If people don't like what they get for their money, they simply should not buy it.

But by now gamers have been so trained to expect to endless content treadmills and all their ilk like mtx and battle passes that publishers/developers get egged on if they don't work on their game 24/7 and forever.

This is a sort of game I've been developing to learn unity. Not much there but fun of you like to blow stuff up.

Corepunk Alpha Keys (corepunk.com)
submitted 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) by TuckFrump@lemmy.world to c/games@lemmy.world

I have 2 alpha keys for Corepunk. Alpha ends tomorrow, July 7th. First come, first served. Message me and I'll provide the key and the download link for the launcher. I will delete this when all keys are claimed.

I'm hearing the marketing for this one is on the spoilery side (as is frequently the case with Falcom), so beware.

We plan to release Factorio: Space Age expansion on October 21st 2024. The reasoning for this date is that it will give us enough time after summer vacations to polish the release, while also leaving enough time afterwards if we need to do bugfix patches before the Christmas holidays.

The price of the Space age expansion will be $35.00, the same price as the current base game.
