Exactly!

I am in the same boat right now. I still use a Pixel 4a. It's a great device, has exactly the size and performance I need, perfect condition but I don't get updates anymore. It's insane that in a time where resources get a real problem this is still allowed. If they can't support it at least force them to open source the software/drivers or something.

Yeah my exact thoughts. Repairable phones are mostly useless if the vendor blobs don't get updated anymore after x years. Until we have an open ecosystem, as we have on desktop PCs, repairable phones are only good on paper.

Same here and I don't even use the search that much. Love it

Exactly, well said.

Pixel 4a gang checking in. We should create a club!

Thanks for checking.

I just checked as well and on my system (arch, xfce) the file exists but it's a symlink, created by a theme I tried but doesn't exist on my system anymore ("qogir-gtk-theme-git"). After removing the symlinks it works.

I clicked apply in the app and a gtk.css and settings.ini files was created. The gtk.css file it's empty. Is that the intended behavior?

Looks nice and useful thanks

I get this error using it for the first time.

[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/xxx/.config/gtk-4.0/gtk.css'

Considering that file doesn't exist the app might create it if necessary?

Cheers

They get most of their money from google for the "default search engine deal" make of that what you want. For me personally it doesn't sound fully independent.

FYI: "Extended support" from a custom rom means the OS level software gets updated, not the device firmware. So you still end up with a not fully up to date phone.

Written from my Pxiel 4a. :)
