Why fine? Why not outlaw it completely? Make it illegal and close all loopholes. No matter the industry, contact by employers during employees' off time should be illegal (this includes employees' lunch/break time). Of course, there are a small exception for on-call doctors, medical emergency staff, fire department, etc.

Excuse for layoff. What I hear from the article is a CEO, who himself is not a grown up, crying me, me, me, my company, my profit, selfish behavior without any concern for his employees who have largely contributed to his startup success.

Employer controlled union. That's oxymoron.

US has no shame, history proves it.

Not at this time, but if he were to create such damage that it impacts a generation and unanimously agreed as a villain then at that point the name Donald will be associated with him. Ex: the name Adolf is associated with Adolf Hitler.

Whether he runs again is not the right question. The council for national policy, an extreme right organization, is behind trumpism, supreme court justices trump nominated, and project 2025 which has been around since Reagan era but with different names. They will choose a different candidate as their wrecking ball who is younger and as fiery, unethical, without principles and an "outsider" as trump represent. Whether it's JD Vance or someone else.

Spoken like a true capitalist. Work for free, kiss the boots of corporate execs, and maybe we'll throw you a none.

Vote. You don't have to vote for Biden or Trump, you can write in a vote or choose a third party or independent candidate on the ballot, if your State allows it. Not for the reason of making practical change, because it won't in a two party system, but to show the analytics, media, the ruling power that you don't have to vote for the lesser of two evils. Anyone that says otherwise does not know what democracy means and supports a broken system through enabling. Local votes ate more important IMO, always vote for that. The more informed you are, the less likely you are to support a broken system.

As asked in the title. Anyone have insider information? Speculations are welcomed. It just seems such an e-waste, but at the same time some reviewing more well known techs are helpful. But those whose goal is to make their video entertaining rather than informative like going on a tech shopping spree on Amazon or Aliexpress to show the "smallest" gadget in a certain category or something similar is adding to the waste.

I'm a casual eBay user. On rare occasions, I will sell household items when I no longer use them. Well, I went to sell my Nintendo Switch on eBay and found out my account has been restricted indefinitely selling. When I tried chat with the customer service agent, they provided a name of some entity that I don't recognize in relation to my account for the reason for restriction, then refused to help me any further and simply disconnect. What kind of shity service is that? When I was provided an automated option to "appeal", it didn't work when i clicked on it. It didn't do anything. Same with other options. They don't have any other way to appeal on their website from what I can see. So caught off guard and annoyed.

For those that continually use services like Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, etc., how does justify using the cost?

With fees and tip added, it's almost double the cost, the food arrives cold and wait time is longer than you picking it up yourself.

If you were against arranged marriage but were pressured into getting married to someone you knew little about, how did it turn out?
