I'm not sure what you think the subject matter is, but I was completely caught off guard. The main character is ostensibly in a "fish out of water" story, and that certainly creates a humorous backdrop. But the show is really all about mental health and wellbeing. People supporting each other while they learn to love themselves, deal with anxiety, trauma, and prejudice... It's immensely beautiful, uproariously funny, and I will happily be the next person to recommend you watch it.

He shouldn't have been using it in the first place, but even if he was, he should have been told that. Repeatedly. With great emphasis, and accompanied with graphic descriptions of what can happen if you don't respect the machine. From the report it sounds like he got a brief overview and someone maybe watched him using it for a couple hours. Then they told him to work it by himself with no supervision the next day.

Not to be that guy, but you're actually in the wrong here by adding incorrect information. It was not an election interference case. The 34 convictions were for charges of falsified business records. There's nothing actually illegal about paying someone to not talk to the press about something that might affect an election. The problem was how he tried to hide the payments.

This is the core philosophy of social conservatism. They don't want to fix problems, they want to give you someone else to blame and stoke up your anger while telling you they will punish those people.

I am not suffering under any delusions that this is a vague possibility. It's almost certain. They've been laying the groundwork since the last election to make sure their supporters will be ready to accept that the next election was "stolen" (but only if their guy loses). The big difference is that there will be extra security precautions this time because everyone is expecting it.

Haha... our older cat will actually start crying at us when it gets close to bed time because she likes to sleep on the bed with us. Once we are safely in bed, she will crawl up and meow in my face until I pet her for 10-15 minutes, at which point she is usually satisfied and will go sleep at the foot of the bed. Sometimes she will curl up on my legs for a little while, but she never stays there.

If all they wanted to do is watch and see how things are done to make sure nobody is trying to illegally change the results, I would have no problem with it. But they're coming in with the preconceptions that massive fraud is already occurring and that they have to find and stop it by any means necessary. That scares the crap out of me because my elderly parents volunteer for our state elections board. They're in the counting rooms and going to drop boxes to collect ballots. They can't do that without officers to escort them now because these whack jobs are showing up armed to "watch".

Great, they did the minimally sane thing. Now how is that investigation going?

They're already laying off 10% of their workforce company wide.
