Taken at the Vancouver Aquarium (Vancouver, Canada).

The scarlet ibis, sometimes called red ibis (Eudocimus ruber), is a species of ibis in the bird family Threskiornithidae. It inhabits tropical South America and part of the Caribbean. In form, it resembles most of the other twenty-seven extant species of ibis, but its remarkably brilliant scarlet coloration makes it unmistakable. It is one of the two national birds of Trinidad and Tobago, and its Tupi–Guarani name, guará, is part of the name of several municipalities along the coast of Brazil.

This 25-foot road tour truck visited 35 cities in the U.S. to promote the fourth iteration of the Mortal Kombat series. Ed Boon, one of the creators of the series, was in attendance and handed out copies of the game and gave autographs. Fans were also given temporary tattoos, t-shirts, and had the opportunity to win a Mortal Kombat 4 arcade machine.

There is very little documentation of this tour online. I was able to find a Twitter post by Brad Lynch (pictured above) who described their experience.

The curator wants to use offensive language but avoids doing so to prevent getting banned. So they use “polite” ways to discriminate and encourage their following to do so as well.

If you looked any further into this group and exited your own bubble, you would realize this. Instead you commented without reading further and assumed I reported this group because they don’t enjoy the same types of games I do.

“I don’t recommend this game because it has gay/female/black people in it.”

^ literal hate speech

The whataboutism is strong with this one. People are getting hurt by this group. Choosing to ignore that is your choice.

Thank you. I don’t think I can edit my report but I can send a new one with this included.

EDIT: The mobile app makes it incredibly difficult to report anything.

No one is advocating they want to interrupt dinner time to hold their family hostage to their political stance.

No and I don’t expect anything to come of it.

I reported them for harassment with the following statement:

The purpose of this group is to review bomb any game that has gay representation. Their discussion threads talk about using other platforms to discriminate against LGBTQ+ communities and individuals to circumvent Steam's TOS policies. This type of behavior promotes discrimination, review brigading, and toxicity. It is surprising Steam is tolerating such open homophobia on this platform.
