No I'm male, but as Rufus said in Dogma: Even the tubby coat wearing motherfucker's got tits.

Rhodes did fantastic as Goldust. So many people on the roster likely would have seen the gimmick as career suicide at best for themselves. Dustin didn't give a shit and went for gold (no pun intended).

Soon I hope, given the last couple weeks.

She 100% expected everyone to get the fuck over it years ago and the responses in the AMA were probably the Holly Holm that put her down.

Yeah the 2nd page of the apology sounds fairly genuine. The first page makes me laugh my tits off. Still a far better apology that I'd have ever expected.

Not gonna lie, he would have done great there. His in-ring style meshes well with a lot of them. That being said, it's Ricochet. If he joined TNA, his ceiling would almost certainly be the X-Division. I can see him being the main eventer but with his style and skills they'd have him locked in for the X-Division champ for a few years and then he'd probably be on his way anyway cause you don't join a company to be the head of the X-Division.

Least this way he gets to also add in a fast route to Japan and Mexico where his style works even better than it will in AEW, and that's also two big places (Japan/Mexico, along with the indies) where he can hide his one huge flaw much easier: promo work.

Ah fuck me, I used these guys.

My father-in-law is Welsh, it still gets me sometimes that it's a language.

Probably won't post more of D'Amore's interview so as to not flood the place (but check out his interview with Chris Van Vliet for more!) but these excerpts seemed worth sharing at least.

“Some of the things that happened with AEW haven’t happened with the [NXT] relationship yet

The highest rated show in the history of AXS TV, not just IMPACT, but the highest rated show by a long shot is the 268 number that Kenny did

We never did numbers like we did when Kenny came in there

When Kenny came in, the Rebellion with him and Swan, the Title vs. Title set a record during the Anthem era with buys. It was 3-4x higher than any of the shows leading into it had been, and then the next one, the Slammiversary with Sami Callihan was the third best show of the Anthem era”

Scott D’Amore on people saying Kenny Omega “mailed in” his TNA performances:

"I watched Kenny get worked on for 90 minutes to try to build up enough strength to try to wrestle Moose at 1 in the morning in Jacksonville. . . That guy could barely walk. And then that guy sat there apologizing to Moose, giving Moose a great match that few people in the world could give him."

I'm happy that Scott said something. If TNA fans are happier with the arrangement that TNA has with NXT, that's totally OK. But it did bug me that there are fans who act as if Kenny Omega's appearances for them did nothing for the promotions business. Especially since he was clearly on the brink of collapse that year.

ALSO:

"People go ‘Oh well they don’t like that Kenny didn’t get to drop the belt.’ Kenny would have dropped the belt, would have loved to of. Wanted to put Josh [Alexander] over. Wanted to work with Eddie Edwards. lt just didn’t pan out that way."

Mauro Ranallo is returning to pro wrestling.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Scott D'Amore revealed that Mauro Ranallo would be the announcer for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.

"Mauro Ranallo has agreed to be the voice of Maple Leaf Pro. He's the man. Mauro has passion for wrestling. I'm so stoked and so honored. The fact that he's willing to say, 'Yeah, I want to be part of this,' to me, is unbelievable. He's the man. He's so good," said D'Amore.

D'Amore praised Mauro for his preparation and passion after making the announcement.

Mauro was the announcer for NJPW in the US in 2015 before joining WWE and working on SmackDown and NXT. He called the AEW Title vs. IMPACT Title match between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann at IMPACT Rebellion in 2020.

Mauro is best known for calling major MMA and boxing events, including Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather.

BLP is an indie out of Chicago, and the show is being presented by DraftKings and Paragon (a talent agency co-owned by Mojo Rawley, so there's lots of big names involved).

No word yet on if this is her in-ring return or just an appearance as of yet.
