Concentration camps. We're talking about concentration camps. (Not a holocaust camp like Auschwitz (yet), 'just' a military-enforced ghetto like Theresienstadt.)
Edit: There were no gas chambers in Theresienstadt and executions were relatively rare; however most prisoners were eventually deported to Auschwitz or elsewhere to be killed, or died of malnutrition, typhoid etc. The overall survival rate of prisoners who had been to the ghetto was around 16 %. Ironically, many deports happened before the infamous Red Cross audit of 1944, to prevent them from finding signs ofn't find any humanitarian crisis.
In my opinion, the best thing Hamas could do is disband and end the war on the condition that Palestine becomes a country with borders and a democratically elected government. However, neither will agree to that, as Israel thinks it's colonizing a savage land.

I know but there are few female leaders, past and present, in public consciousness. Theresa May? Queen Elizabeth II? Angela Merkel? Ursula von der Leyen? The fifth president of Slovakia was a woman, for example, but she's just one in six, and not many people will remember her a decade later. If Harris gets to be fondly remembered as a president, she will undoubtedly help alleviate the gender gap in elected positions.
