There is, since version 0.19.4

There is a new functionality for users to list all images they have previously uploaded, and delete them if desired. It also allows admins to view and delete images hosted on the local instance.

I just wouldn’t jump to conclusions about where the weirdness lies without more information.

I really hope they can clarify. The objective of this post is also to trigger that clarification, as it seems they didn't really address this lack of coherence when it was brought up in the linked thread.

I find it really stupid that Lemmy’s Devs think that reports are a fast and reasonable way of dealing with harassment

What would be the alternative? As you pointed out, it's the admins who can be slow to act

I mean the fact that they consider registration applications to be a silver bullet just goes to show that it never occurred to them that people can and do blatantly lie on their registration applications.
