It's such a disgusting waste of taxpayer dollars. Would I like to see expanded hours and locations? Absolutely, but privatizing ANOTHER Crown corporation isn't the way to go about it. LCBO contributes something like 2.5 billion dollars to the Ontario government. I haven't seen anything from Ford about how that revenue stream will be replaced after it gets redirected into the pockets of Circle K.

The purchasing power the LCBO has is crazy. So, removing that dynamic will increase prices and ruin selection.
and increase private profits
But remember it all trickles down... right... RIGHT? /s
Gutting tax revenue and government services, so they can later say "see this doesn't work/ we don't have enough money for it" (and gut more tax revenue and government services) is a key Conservative strategy. Ford doesn't care about Ontarians. I don't know any conservative party right now that actually works for the working class
That's not part of his mandate. Ontario's open for business, and we're having a fire sale. Get it while it lasts.
Dug's buck a beer was a thing for a short while when Galen Weston pumped out the brews as cheap possible in 6 packs for holidays... and I think something called Hazy Days or some nonsense existed for a few months...now here we are where Johnny Bootleg's shooters are all gone and everything but Pabst Tea is sold the fuck out when it comes to malt coolers
I support the union I've been only drinking beer and have been honking louder than anyone.
Screw Galen and his entire family in their castle.
CBC really playing up how the strike hurts people with little discussion on how workers are treated.
The Canadian Press article pushed out today about the strike ending had a quote from one rando guy outside a store saying "If Doug had courage he would have liquidated the LCBO" with no explanation on how that would have been a clusterfuck, no input from experts or anyone who matters, no counter viewpoints, it was sad.
