I have worked retail before, and if I never had to deal with receipt paper or printers again, it would have felt like a cheat.

I kind of hope they aren't setting up a romance between these two, I just want a chill food focused series about things that are delicious in dungeons.

No messing with receipts is actually a reality in my country. The Sokos line of grocers allow you to activate digital receipts for your loyalty card. If you use it to pay or gather bonuses, the terminal wont print a receipt for the transaction, and you get it as a notification on your phone via the related app on your phone instead.

You can also look up the receipts for past transactions.

I'm still laughing at the fact that one of her skills is literally just "tax evasion".

And I love that the system specified that she never needs to refill the receipt paper on her payment terminal, but then adds that it wouldn't need any anyway, because all this business is "tax exempt" and it will never print any receipts to begin with.

If there's no paper trail, and everything that would usually be an expense just materialises out of thin air, I'm starting to think the only reason she doesn't need to bother with taxes is that there's no way for the korean tax office to know of her income 🤣

She may be able to avoid reporting the income to the authorities, but at this rate she's gonna need to find a way to launder the money if she wants to spend it.
