There may not be a "public road" as such, but this is the Monadhliath Mountains region and it is chock full of really decent land rover tracks going everywhere. Good few years since I explored the area, but there were tracks springing up everywhere last time I checked. Good few bothies in that region also - but that's secret knowledge.
