That would be a gap-year solution for Sauber. Have Bottas for 2025 and try to get whoever they actually want for 2026.

2025 won't matter for either potential sauber driver, I don't think they will develop the car very much

I wonder when the last time was that both drivers moved together from one team to another

The one time I can think of is Alesi/Berger who moved from Ferrari to Benetton for the 1996 season
