Just caught up on the past couple episodes and the picture of Bam's circumstances are coming into view some more after the flashback where they threatened his teammates. I guess it makes sense if you are FUG that you try every trick in the book to bring an irregular to your cause (even if against their will) since it is only an irregular that can carry out the ultimate mission. Based on the first season's discussions of irregulars, it also seems like they don't come around very often, like once a generation at most.
Speaking about irregulars, wouldn't Rachel be an irregular as well? She was initially denied entry to the tower and forced to watch Bam complete his trial with the help of the Black March. So, if she wasn't going to be allowed in regularly, wasn't she allowed in in an irregular way?
Anyway, looking forward to Bam's confrontation with this new guy. This dude's character vibe gives me the sense that he is going to be sticking around for a while. I don't think they would set him up like this just to have Bam dispatch him and that's that.
Anyway, we are all the way to episode 6 and I have yet to see Rak at all. So, I hope that issue is resolved soon too.
