Kind of important info at the bottom:

From ACM’s SIGPLAN publication, (September, 1982), Article “Epigrams in Programming”, by Alan J. Perlis of Yale University.

It's certainly fun how many of these remain applicable today, but yeah, many others were talking about weirdly old programming languages, and a few of these were just kind of strange.
