Conservatives are fucking insane. They're about to get the chance to really wallow in their own shit now.

How long until we see goiters and pellagra making a comeback in Texas?

I don't even know how much longer we can trust any aspect of healthcare in the US. From mental health (autism registry) to unadulterated vaccines (RFK talking about "placebo testing" vaccines)

Republicans are mentally defective degenerates.

Damn, it was ‘the government can’t just put things (even if proven to be hugely beneficial to the common people) in my body’ (which would greatly increase demand for medical or dental coverage and lines the pockets of my lobbyists)…. To ‘let’s attack business too!’

Another benefit of ‘Small government’, every single day it’s another.

It's part of the right wing anti-science conspiracy wing. I really have no idea why and I doubt they do either. My brothers in-laws have some of those obsessions and they told him when my niece was born she couldn't ever use fluoride and he told them to fuck off and shut the conversation right down. They didn't like that but they shut up about it after that.

[–] acockworkorange@mander.xyz 5 points 4 days ago

That's the way.

[–] Lawnman23@lemmy.world 14 points 4 days ago

Sigh, conspiracy around it has been going on since the 40’s…

If they're fighting meaningless shit, then they won't see the people picking their pockets and making their lives actually harder.

All of 6th grade level science is to be looked upon with superstitious dread:

Chlorophyll.

The water table..

Frog dissection...

It was the poster board used for science fair presentations what killed the baby Jesus

Because they are evil people who are motivated solely by a cruel disdain for humanity.

There are no more nice words left.

Toothpaste manufacturers should concede and stop shipping their products to Texas. Then in about 10-20 years, after all the kids lose their teeth, they should put up billboards and other means of promotion pointing to Paxton for their poor dental health.

[–] GoodLuckToFriends@lemmy.today 7 points 4 days ago

Ugh. I hate that the stupidity of the parents is always felt by the kids. It's even worse because the poor kids would be brainwashed and would never connect the dots. By that time they might have started a cult to paxton and abbot.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

Wow. Now they are really heading to Stupid City.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Hey, Texas, how's that whole secession thing going? Need any help?

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 4 days ago

First Texas, but then the rest.

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 6 points 4 days ago

Is this one of the drafts for Dr Strangelove?

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 2 points 4 days ago

So they are going to buy the more expensive non flouride toothpaste out there, which has very questionable effects
