This woman IS deranged. It's hilarious that she's demanding a timetable for anything from anyone and assuming she is a person of any consequence.

"Is biden isolating due to covid? no.. no.. HE MUST BE DEAD, AND KAMALA AND OTHER DEMOCRATS ARE PUPPETING HIS CORPSE LIKE WEEKEND AT BERNIES!"

jesu fucking christ. What kind of saturday morning cartoon writer is writing the plot for this shit.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 82 points 4 months ago (7 children)

The thing is, it makes no sense...

If Biden died, Harris is president and it changes nothing.

They're just scrambling and don't really have anything on Kamala apparently

[–] ZapBeebz_@lemmy.world 51 points 4 months ago (3 children)

My favorite part of all this is that they actually have nothing on her. All their attacks are based on surface level observations and blatant racism, not anything about policy or scandals or anything. Frankly, the worst thing that could happen is someone unearths an old picture of Kamala ordering a hot dog with mustard while wearing a tan suit.

[–] Nollij@sopuli.xyz 31 points 4 months ago

Trump voters largely don't care about policy or scandals. They do, however, care about racism and sexism.

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 9 points 4 months ago

Vance is trying to push the border thing (whatever weird conception of the border dominating MAGA minds right now, no idea what that is exactly, this week anyway) on her screaming that it’s her fault for the last 4 yrs.

. There’s some of that from Trump social media as well.

.

So far, that’s all I’ve seen them try.

.

Can’t really one up her bit on how she spent years as a prosecutor trying abusers of women, cheaters, and fraudsters and thus she knows Trumps type. No credible defense on that one.

They bet the farm on "Biden is old and senile" and then the uno reverse was played.

[–] draneceusrex@lemmy.world 12 points 4 months ago

They don't want Harris to run for 2 terms, and they want to try and cause a shitshow in the Senate over a VP confirmation. They have lost all agency right now and are desperate for anything. QQ more GOP. Keep it up with the racism and misogyny. Fucking snowflakes.

[–] takeda@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

All they had on Kamala during her election for the California senator were things that Republicans are actually supporting.

I hope they "weekend at Bernie's" him after he gets better from COVID: spend a couple days at senator Sanders' house, hold a press conference about passing the torch to the next generation, really make it a thing. But insist on calling it his "weekend at Bernie's" at every opportunity

[–] Infynis@midwest.social 33 points 4 months ago

He has to be wearing his aviators the whole time

[–] 18_24_61_b_17_17_4@lemmy.world 25 points 4 months ago

Christ that would be gold.

[–] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 26 points 4 months ago

He should totally dress up as bernie from the movie and get two young dudes to do the same and put him on a hand truck to be wheeled out to the podium for his next conference only to step off, take the aviators off, not address what just happened, and start his speech. No malarkey.

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 22 points 4 months ago

The kind of person with the great judgment to look at Lauren Boebert and say "I am excited for the opportunity to work with your campaign, you seem like a good candidate"

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Let's be honest here. She's just going to move the goal posts regardless of whatever proof is given to her.

It's because that is exactly what they would do if they were in that position and that situation happens. It's so fucking obvious at this point that they love accusing Democrats of shit they do. Constant projection.

If he was dead, wouldn't the result be the same?Kamala would take over the ticket. What would be the point of hiding it?

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 34 points 4 months ago (2 children)

They don't think that far ahead

[–] pezmaker@sh.itjust.works 7 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

I think all the judges they have in place from lower courts on up to the supremes shows this is a dangerous belief to maintain.

The result would be Mike Johnson is the probable next in line to the president with Harris acting as president. This would give MAGA and those Trump have asked to 'stand back and stand by' months to 'find a way' to get Johnson in as president for the election and certification period.

The more obvious and plausible reason is they just want something, ANYTHING, that gets them a news bite.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 13 points 4 months ago

With this SCOTUS I would not put it past them to say "actually the constitution meant to say we need 60 Republicans to impeach a president and they can be anyone not just senators. We pulled this from the myass papers"

I don't get it. I do not friggin' understand how these nutjob ppl get elected. Wait. I can do the calculations.. but good lord. It's bleak when you see this stuff.

[–] Carrolade@lemmy.world 32 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

If history is any example, it can get much, much worse than this. This is our early shot at holding the line against the nutjobbery fully taking over.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 14 points 4 months ago (3 children)

The reason why people like this keep getting elected is because people will go into the voting booth and vote strictly on party lines. They don't consider the platform of any given candidate they just go down the line and check all the boxes that say Republican/Democrat.

That's how these idiots keep getting elected.

[–] Sc00ter@lemm.ee 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You forgot the part where they're actual representations of the people who elect them. People want people like MTG in government, because that's what they believe too

There are a lot of people out there who see all this and say to themselves, "well, she's not a filthy Dem."

[–] Intrama@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

Yeah, I see a lot of that locally where I'm at. That line of thinking. I don't think the average voter actually checks voting records of the candidates and sees if they align with what is good for them, their neighbour, community, etc. They just assume that 'their' party are the good guys. It's like.. okaaaay, but can you articulate why? And not talking points either. Are you struggling with health care costs? Who's actually voted for stuff that would help you.

Sorry, longer response than I anticipated. I agree with you completely, so thank you for posting.

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That’s exactly right. Per relatives and such who vote that way.

So far: Jan 6 was just bad players, not an insurrection. Trump did nothing wrong. Trump had the documents ready to go, waiting for a pickup, but they were dramatic about picking them up. And he’s not great but he’s good about showing the dem double standard. On what, exactly, I’m not sure.

.

I’ve been trying for months to get the sources out of these relatives and finally scored on that last week. Glen Beck and Ben Shapiro. I didn’t even know Beck was still out there doing his batshit crazy schtick.

.

Every discussion turns into a game of “you need better sources” constantly being thrown in both directions. Trump broke facts back in 2016.

Imagine purposefully voting for Lauren Boebert to represent you for anything.

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 25 points 4 months ago (9 children)

Handjibbers Union maybe, but even that is probably a stretch.

[–] EnderMB@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

If you're stretching, you're probably doing it wrong.

They don't belive this stuff. It's just a way to stay in the spotlight. It's like shockjock morning radio bullshit. You say outrageous shit and people lap it up. Most of the people don't believe it either, not really. It just gives them something to yell about and get worked up over. It keeps their hackles up so they don't have to critically think about anything. Sure there are some people that actually believe all this shit, there were actually people waiting for JFK to come back, but thats a very small number of people. Most are just riding the outrage train so they can be nasty to women, be racist, and stay afraid of gay people. None of it has to make sense, there's no logic behind it. It's just another way to stay mad. It seems like an exhausting way to live.

Ah yes repubs going on about Biden this, Biden that after he dropped out and therefore has zero relevance to upcoming election is totally a winning strategy.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago

Qbert Handjob says what now?

[–] whotookkarl@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago

It's too late suckers, we've already moved his nervous system into a 30 foot tall rainbow colored tax payer funded robot who is coming to corrupt your jobs and emigrant your children.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 9 points 4 months ago

Lauren Boebert? Wait, the same one that was caught ON CAMERA jacking a guy off at a public play with children present just feet away? That same Lauren Boebert?

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I mean, even if I thought that, I'm smart enough to know that if I said it out loud, Biden could appear the next day and make me look like a complete idiot

[–] Sabata11792@ani.social 6 points 4 months ago (4 children)

They just double down and will call Biden a skin walker or Ai replacement.

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Pissing in the wind. Every breath they spend talking about Biden is one not talking about Harris

Which is the height of irony since Trump died of COVID on October 3, 2020 at Walter Reed and he had his corpse reanimated via an evil pact with a demon.
