The actors in the first movie were great. It was like watching real people rather than actors. Really drew you in. This one doesn't seem to have that and the cast seem too young for the roles they're playing. But maybe I'm just too old, or maybe it's aimed at a younger generation.
I’ve heard and read the age concern before but some of the actors in Alien were pretty young too. Also, film as an art form has evolved since then. I’m normally pessimistic or cautiously optimistic with franchise reboots these days but Romulus has me hopefully optimistic. Director had a lot of creative leash to make this movie. When inspired creatives are allowed to cook, tasty usually follows. 🤞🏻
Just saw it today and definitely think it’s better than anything that came after the first two. Curious to hear what you think after you’ve seen it.
I enjoyed it. Not amazing but solid. I think it’s the fourth best movie in the franchise after the first 3. I think it had a little too much fan service and effects could have been better but acting and story were very good, especially the android. Hopefully it is a star-making role for him. I’d definitely watch a sequel that continues the story of the characters if one happens.
I agree with all that. I hope it gets a sequel (of the same quality).
