Wtf? How can there be an uptick, anywhere? Even more in Germany, where Mastodon comes from.
people who live in Germany would have a better idea about the reasons but maybe AFD see Elmo as one of their own?
I don't know about normal people, but our green vice chancellor Robert Habeck recently returned to X because he doesn't want to leave X to loudmouths and populists.
