Virtua Fighter was huge. People had never seen a fighter game with 3D graphics before that.
Although the original was in 93.
Sega Saturn ports were also almost arcade-perfect. I remember the series had a really strange cast of characters, I think in one of the Virtua Fighters your opponent is the car from Daytona.
