I saw this at a music venue. It was strapped onto railings above the audience facing the stage. Says "kick out", is attached by zip ties, looks like a tube wrapped in a durable plastic coat, and looked like it might have a wire running to it.

It appears to be some kind of a rolled up banner, and it probably has a mechanism to remotely release it so it'll unroll.

Hopefully in the process it'll turn out to be short enough not to hit anyone on the head in the process.

Also, unless the image is flipped, the text is meant for viewers on the opposite side from the camera.

Image is not flipped, I had to turn away from the stage to see this, so I suppose if unfurled it would correctly face the audience when they look at the stage.

I'm just saying that unless unfurling it would rotate it horizontally, the "kick" will remain on the right and looks like it would be meant to be viewed by those up "there," behind the sign.

That makes sense. For extra context, the balcony its attached to is a gantry only for sound engineers, Containing only the lights and equipment etc. Audience is only below.
