I haven't clicked on the video, but I have seen other similar arguments. If the other side don't play by the rules, you will be disadvantaged by being goody two shoes. However, you would look bad if you go on the extreme (think of the early 20th century when fascists and communists have violent clashes). So play smart and dip your hands into the mud once in a while; there is nothing wrong with it. Franklin Roosevelt was known to be a smooth political operator and had thrown some shades and muds onto his opponents once in a while And that what made him an enduring politician with a long lasting legacy.
