No - it's 27 times bigger.
A yard is 3 times bigger than a foot so a cubic yard is 3^3^ (3 cubed) times bigger.
Edit: Brain fart. retracting.
~~Only 26 times bigger, yes? While their are 27 cubic feet in 1 cubic yard. The original cubic foot needs to be subtracted from the cubic yard if you're saying its "bigger", right?~~
No, you wee right the first time. It's 27 times as big, or 26 times bigger
