Have you got any essential or lesser known tips and tricks for this game? I'm currently playing on a custom Voyageur run to get the hang of the regions. I'm at day 36 and ventured out from Desolation Point to Hushed River Valley, got attacked by a moose and almost died. Things are going well! That said, I would appreciate some interesting tips!

Walking at an angle (w+d for instance) is faster than in forward/sideways.

A partly-crafted item has zero weight. Good way to have a spare bow.

A dropped stick always points in the same direction. If you know which way "stick north" is, you can navigate in a blizzard somewhat. Even if you don't, you can rightclick on it to "hold" it and keep yourself from going in circles.

If you're encumbered or injured in any way, wolves are MUCH more likely to attack.

Thank you. I'm surely going to use the diagonal walking thing if I'm ever in a hurry. Also a neat way to save some weight with the bow, thanks!
