If you ever get a chance to make it to a WordCamp (regional or national) do so. It's so much fun and educational.

Hi everyone I'm in the market for a new web host.

Ideally the host should have a CPanel for dns, subdomains, sql etc etc etc and the possibility for a staging site is most desirable.

Shared Linux is fine. In the past I've used namecheap and 20i.

Any tips would be great, thank you!

loving wp db import and many of the functions. yet i am mindblown to not finde ...or too dumb... to export and import customers and orders. their github https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/WC-CLI-Overview#examples has a lot of empty space

What is WP-CLI? WooCommerce Commands Examples

Command: Response: Command: Response: Command: Response: Command: Response: Command: Response: Command:

🤷

anyways thats useless.

i could

wp wc shop_order list --user=URNAMEHERE --after="2023-08-17T23:59:59" --format=csv > my_cool_orders.csv

or maybe sth like

wp export --post__in=$(wp eval 'foreach( get_posts(array("post_type" => "shop_order", "posts_per_page" => -1, "fields" => "ids")) as $id ) { echo $id. ","; }') --max_file_size=200

but how to import? is there any standard way on CLI to export and import orders and users? (I am not interested in any plugin suggestions)

Morning,

I would like to create a niche wordpress site that import RSS feeds, create posts from it, and create a newsletter from the posts created.

So a user would subscribe to my newsletter about posts created from RSS feeds about Topic1. Another user would subscribe to my newsletter about Topic2, etc. But they will also be able to go and read the posts on my website with links to the original news articles.

The purpose would be for a user who is an accountant, to come to my website, click on the accountant option newsletter and only receive news for accountants.

The attorney would do the same, and only receive news for attorneys, etc.

What addons would be the best to use....and free.

Thanks!

Hey all,

I'm trying to migrate my site from one domain to another. I'm not the host on the original domain, so I just want to export the website somehow and reupload to the new host. I've tried the Jetpack, All-in-one Migration and WPVivid plugins, all which haven't worked, probably because my site works with a few plugins and is around 200 Mb. Any tips would be appreciated.

Pfupfert es euch auch so, bei
@TaskCards und Padlet auf 2 Pinnwände beschränkt zu sein, keinen Import/Export zu haben und damit auch kein #OER machen zu können?
Eigentlich braucht es nur ein bisschen
@wordpress und horizontales Scrolling z.B. mit Stackable. #FediLZ #WordPress #TaskCards #Padlet

The Gutenberg Social Media button plugin doesn't allow you to add your own. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, so me and my mates got a website running for "internal use", like sharing pictures, recipes, events and stuff like that. We tried The Events Calendar, but the synchronisation only works if the site is public. Do you guys have any ideas what we could use? Maybe a google calendar that we synchronize with the website or something?

Just curious what kind of plugins people are using regularly. Personally, I like these ones:

Dashboard customization

Performance

Form: WS-Form

Multilingual: Polylang

Security: FluentAuth

Analytics

Currently deciding between these two:

Code Snippets: WPCodeBox

Events: VS Event List

Block plugins

SEO: The SEO Framework

ClassicPress was originally a fork of WordPress from right before the block editor was added. The community voted to re-fork version 2.0 off of the latest WordPress, removing the block editor and full-site editing. The 2.0 nightly releases are ready for testing!

I often need to add some kind of events section to sites I build, but I really dislike some of the most popular bloated plugins. This plugin usually does everything I want it to.

I think I tried every single event plugin for Wordpress and this was by far the best basic event plugin.

This update to the Site Editor will be available in the upcoming WordPress 6.3 release

Crossgeposted von: https://feddit.de/post/830635 Article and tutorial about the ActivityPub plugin of WordPress (in German) - "The plugin implements the ActivityPub protocol for your blog, which means that your readers will be able to follow your blog posts on Mastodon and other federated platforms that support ActivityPub. In addition, replies to your posts on Mastodon and related platforms will automatically become comments on your blog post."

I'm always intrigued by it. What do you think?

This plugin is really great imo.

read about some jetpack support for connecting WP to fedi/calckey etc. The main calckey dev sounds hungry so thought I'd ask around. WP is huge compared to Mastodon or Twitter for that matter but this guy is pretty talented. hit CTRL- refresh if the link hangs. Thanks
