What I mean is, should we mostly prefer uploading images to the instance itself or is it better to link to external sources (like imgur, catbox.moe, etc.)?
I ask to know what would be deemed reasonable utilization of the server storage by us users

Anyone else also experiencing this issue? I can browse All just fine from my account on another instance.

Hey I noticed something very weird today, I don't know if it's Jerboa's fault, but when I vote or comment in a post there I often don't see the effects after changing of the app or refreshing the page, looking in my comment history for example will not show my latest comments, but if I go and check out my profile on the web they are there, same for votes, the moment I vote it is shown, but then I exit, come back and it has disappeared. It's kinda finicky, I don't know if I can explain better

On this occasion, I would like to ask a little question. What do you think, if we make the instance humor/meme focused instead of general-purpose? I think the hostname is very appropriate. I've also read that Lemmy developers prefer more focused instances over general-purpose. So IDK what do you think??

Hey everyone! I'm trying to add lemy name with amogus and pepe to the canvas.

I'm adding amogus now on 550, 920. After that I will add lemy.lol to the right of it. I appreciate any help friends 🙏 I am currently drawing the draft right now.

I noticed that the email service is not working after the new Lemmy update. Because of this, new users cannot verify emails. I am working on it.

Update: it was about TLS. I set it to unencrypted to make it work for now. If you experienced this while registrating, I can fix it if you reach me via e-mail. iso at lemy.lol

Since the m.lemy.lol and v.lemy.lol are short, I wanted to keep this one short too. I don't think its mature as Voyager but it looks good!

Although I was intimidated by the new Lemmy versions, I updated it anyway.

I also opened up.lemy.lol to keep track of crashes.

I noticed the server was down several times. So I upgraded from 3 CPUs, 4G RAM to 4 CPUs, 8G RAM 🎉

For those who are curious, it used to cost 9€, now it costs 15.5€ with backups.

That version hasn't been released yet... 😅

I've seen that some instances deploying Voyager, formerly known as wefwef, on their own instance ^1^ ^2^ ^3^.

Why not us too? And better yet, we can deploy mlmym too. Which is an old.reddit style alternative. Anyways, here you go:

Or does it aim to be 100% generic in every manner?

I do see we're using lemmoney (did I spell it right?), so that seems to be the first thing to set us apart
