Hello,

Just so everyone knows, it appears that maybe the latest EverDrive N8 Pro firmware (NES edition, Famicom edition), version 2.15, could have some compatibility issues with the Nt mini Noir.

You can see some more discussion around this from these two RetroRGB Q&A videos:

I'm not sure if there is any solution yet for this, or if this person might've found a solution themself ๐Ÿค” But I wanted to make sure attention is raised for this just so that people are aware.

I have an N8 Pro and an Nt mini Noir, but I haven't tried this new firmware yet, so I can't really report my own findings ๐Ÿ˜…

No indication about what color(s) will be available, but I'd definitely assume it to be only just black and white.

Looks great! Honestly I'm a bit surprised to see this, as I wasn't sure if we would, given the Duo is a pretty different console than many of Analogue's previous releases.

And be sure to check out the main GitHub page itself too: https://github.com/analoguejb/Analogue-Duo-JB

Looks like some nice bug fixes and things, but no DAC support yet :(

Interestingly, I haven't seen any tweet about this yet ๐Ÿค”

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good new year ๐Ÿ˜„

Now I just want DAC support!

Also, here's the link to their tweet announcing this new release: https://twitter.com/analogue/status/1738930789532811436

Duo owners, you might want to keep a close eye on firmware releases for the next few months, it looks like there are still a good amount of fixes and things coming quickly.

14

Excited to watch this! (But, honestly I did not preorder a Duo...)

Looks like some good fixes and updates!

I'm really hoping to see DAC support soon though ๐Ÿฅบ

I like them all ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Hello,

While the RetroUSB AVS is not a true 1:1 replacement for the Nt mini, it is the closest thing that is currently readily available. It has real cartridge slots, four controller ports, and an HDMI out, just like the Nt mini.

With that being said, it is pretty different too. It doesn't have any analog-out functionality, and only supports 720p (no 1080p at all).

But regardless it is still a great device that has been well-received. I have a friend of mine who is very happy with his ๐Ÿ˜Š So if you are in the market for this kind of device, but don't want to pay scalper Nt mini level prices, this could be a good alternative for you.

Thank you! Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Looks amazing! But I can't decide which I want ๐Ÿค”

omg ๐Ÿฅต

Hi! This looks like a 3rd party made a jail broken gaming device, which, if true is amazing! Am I wrong? Can someone here fill me in?

24

Looks like a really minor firmware update, with just 1 change:

  • Fixed periodic audio issue when using DAC

It doesn't appear that there is currently an updated Super Nt jailbreak release available.

Looks like people who ordered a Pocket before July 20th should be getting shipping information very very soon, if they haven't already.

Cheers! Please enjoy your Pockets everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š
