Don't try to tell me Beyond Earth was a sequel, Stellaris is more of a sequel to SMAC than BE was.

The new console option won’t include a disc drive, and will be entirely all-digital. Inside it’s identical to the Xbox Series X, with the same performance for existing Xbox games. This new white model will be available with 1TB of storage later this year, priced at $449.99.

Xbox president Sarah Bond revealed the new white Xbox Series X during the Xbox Games Showcase today, alongside a 2TB “Galaxy Black” version of the original Xbox Series X. There’s also a $349.99 1TB Xbox Series S coming in white, too.

Behind the scenes, according to interviews with nearly two dozen people who requested anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak to the press, the development of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was a tumultuous affair, plagued by countless delays. The game failed for a number of reasons, said the people, including a constantly shifting vision, a culture of rigid perfectionism and a genre pivot that was ill-suited for the studio. A spokesperson for Warner Bros. Games declined to comment.

Over time, the leaders’ vision kept morphing, most notably switching from an emphasis on melee combat to heavily focusing on guns. The change left some staff members wondering why protagonists such as Captain Boomerang, known for fighting with his namesake weapon, would suddenly pivot to gunplay.

In August 2020, after three years and multiple delays, Rocksteady finally revealed its plans, telling fans Suicide Squad would be released in 2022. But additional frustrations kept piling up. The project’s massive world and four playable heroes were a significant increase in complexity from the Arkham games. Engineers, under the impression they were rushing toward an immutable deadline, prioritized short-term fixes that later proved to be hindrances as the release date kept getting pushed back.

Selaco is a first person shooter on the GZDoom engine. It's currently for sale on Steam and in early access.

The GPL source code is included with the game. I'm not interested in playing the game but I am curious about the source. Can someone upload/mirror it for me somewhere? It doesn't seem to be on GitHub yet.

(Obviously this is legal, it's the very point of the GPL - GZDoom is free to build upon but under the condition that those freedoms are retained)

This might be too close to "advertising", so remove if you like. I get 0 money or anything. Just wanted to reach out to those who may not know this exists.

If you happen to live in the Buffalo, NY area, the next Massive LAN event is coming up real soon and there are still plenty of seats available. Massive LAN is held in Winter and Summer, so you can always join another time. Basically, you get your own table, power strip, and an Ethernet drop. Just bring yourself, computer, chair, and whatever sleeping gear you may need. Family friendly (enough) to bring any kiddos who like to game as well.

There is plenty of room to walk around and hang about in, so don't worry too much about being overwhelmed by a crowded space. If you do end up getting tickets and want to be grouped with other specific people, just put the same guild name as them on the form.

For those not familiar, it's a 3D (with VR support) remake of Riven, which was originally released in 1997 as a "point and click" sequel to the classic adventure and puzzle-solving game Myst.
